At Ad Lane Carpentry, we strive for complete customer satisfaction with every project. This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds, cancellations, and modifications to contracted services.
Design consultations, project planning, and initial estimates are generally provided at no charge. However, detailed architectural drawings or extensive planning services may be subject to fees that are non-refundable once work begins.
Due to the bespoke nature of custom furniture and woodworking projects, special refund conditions apply. These projects include custom furniture, built-in storage, and other made-to-order items designed specifically for your space and requirements.
Standard installation services such as flooring, cabinet installation, and general carpentry work follow our standard refund policy outlined below.

Deposits are typically non-refundable but may be applied to future projects within one year of the original contract date, subject to our approval and project compatibility.
We stand behind the quality of our work and will address any issues that arise from defects in our workmanship at no additional cost. This includes repairs, adjustments, or replacements necessary due to our error or substandard work.

Changes to approved project specifications must be documented in writing and may affect project cost and timeline. Additional work resulting from change orders is billed separately and is not eligible for refund once completed.
We carefully inspect all materials before use. However, natural materials like wood may contain variations that are characteristic of the material. We will address significant defects but cannot provide refunds for minor natural variations that don't affect functionality.
If you're unsatisfied with our work or have concerns about charges:
When refunds are authorized, processing typically takes 5-10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method when possible. For cash payments or unusual circumstances, refunds may be issued by check.
We are not liable for delays or inability to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to severe weather, material shortages, permit delays, or other unforeseeable events. Such circumstances do not constitute grounds for refunds.
