Agreement to Terms

By engaging Ad Lane Carpentry ("we," "our," or "us") for services or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all terms, please do not use our services.

Services

Ad Lane Carpentry provides professional carpentry and woodworking services including but not limited to:

  • Custom furniture design and construction
  • Kitchen cabinet installation and renovation
  • Hardwood flooring installation
  • Home repairs and renovations
  • Deck building and outdoor structures
  • Built-in storage solutions

Estimates and Contracts

All estimates provided are subject to change based on final measurements, material costs, and project complexity. Written contracts will outline specific terms, timelines, and costs for each project. Changes to agreed-upon work must be approved in writing and may affect pricing and timeline.

Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in individual project contracts. Generally:

  • Deposits may be required to begin work
  • Progress payments may be scheduled for larger projects
  • Final payment is due upon project completion
  • Late payments may incur additional charges
  • Disputed charges must be raised within 30 days of invoice

Materials and Workmanship

We use quality materials appropriate for each project. Material selections are made in consultation with clients and may affect project costs. We stand behind our workmanship and will address any issues arising from our work within a reasonable timeframe.

Project Timeline

Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, material availability, permit requirements, and unforeseen circumstances. We will communicate any delays promptly and work to minimize impact on project completion.

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate project information and requirements
  • Ensuring work area accessibility
  • Obtaining necessary permits where required
  • Making timely payments as agreed
  • Communicating changes or concerns promptly

Liability and Insurance

Ad Lane Carpentry maintains appropriate insurance coverage for our operations. Our liability is limited to the value of services provided. We are not responsible for damage to personal property not directly related to our work scope.

Cancellation Policy

Project cancellations must be communicated in writing. Cancellation terms and any applicable fees will be outlined in individual project contracts. Materials ordered specifically for your project may not be refundable.

Intellectual Property

Custom designs created by Ad Lane Carpentry remain our intellectual property. Clients receive rights to use designs for their specific project but may not reproduce or distribute designs without permission.

Safety

We prioritize safety in all our work. Work areas should be kept clear of non-essential personnel during active construction. We follow industry safety standards and expect cooperation in maintaining safe working conditions.

Dispute Resolution

We prefer to resolve disputes through direct communication. If formal resolution is necessary, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration in Vermont under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Limitation of Liability

Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Vermont. Any legal proceedings must be brought in Vermont state courts.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
